Application Process

Connect is a free public school open to any child who lives in California. There are no admission tests. We give priority to residents of the Redwood City School District. Please fill out the interest form on our homepage.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Eligibility for 2025–2026: Children who turn 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025, are eligible for TK.

Kindergarten Eligibility for 2025–2026: Children who turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, are eligible for Kindergarten.

PLEASE NOTE: The enrollment process for Connect is separate from that of the Redwood City School District. You can find information about the district's process on the district's site.

Enrollment Priorities

Students currently enrolled at Connect are automatically offered a place in the next grade.  We then fill available spaces in this order:

• Siblings of continuing students enrolled at Connect for the same school year

• Students who live in the Redwood City School District, in the order chosen during our lottery

• Students from outside the district, in the order chosen during our lottery

Timeline: Open Enrollment for the 2025-26 School Year

• Our enrollment period begins August 12, 2025

• Applications are received on a rolling basis throughout the school year and summer.

• If needed, we will hold a public lottery on January 17,  2025 and notify families right away about the results. Those not immediately offered admission are automatically placed on our waitlist.  Click HERE for more information about our admissions process.

• Families will need to accept or decline their spots by April 17, 2025
