Maria Smith graduated college with a degree in Computer Science and Accounting. Before becoming a teacher, she worked as a database computer programmer. She currently lives in Redwood City, is married, and has 2 children. Her son is studying Law at Penn State and her daughter, a Connect graduate, attends CalPoly University. Looking for alternatives to public education in Redwood City, she became one of the founders of Connect Community Charter School.

Music teacher

Anton Estaniel

Mr. Anton is a cellist and music educator and has been performing and teaching music throughout Southern California and the Bay Area since 2000. He has had the opportunity to perform a variety of musical styles ranging from Western Classical Music, Rock, Classical Middle-Eastern Music, Caribbean Music, Tango, and New Compositions that incorporate the cello.

Anne Thompson

Coach Anne grew up in Redwood City and went to Woodside High School. She got a B.S. degree in Business at San Jose State University and went on to the teaching program and Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont. She has coached for seven years with Team NorCal Lacrosse in Palo Alto. She also enjoys photography, music, traveling, being outdoors, animals, crafting with resin and paint, snowboarding and paddle boarding.
