Lynette Juarez

Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Juarez has been an educator for over 25 years. Through her many years of teaching in the classroom, she has developed a personal teaching philosophy that has helped enhance the lives of her students. Her goal is for every child to become self-sufficient, innovative thinkers. She considers every child as an individual, therefore, her teaching methods vary accordingly. She has studied and received her degree at Notre Dame de Namur University with a minor in psychology. She looks forward to working and getting to know you and your children. Also, she received her certification in Elementary Education from an accredited University in D.C., where she continues her education.

She has worked in private schools, public schools and is now eager to finish out her many years here at Connect Community Charter School. She is enthusiastic and excited about working and getting to know the students and their families.

Jessica Duncan

First Grade Teacher

Jessica Duncan is beginning her third year teaching first grade here at Connect, and has served 9 years total in the field of education. She has a bachelor’s degree in community development and a master’s degree in teaching, specifically curriculum design and implementation. She believes that when students are surrounded by a strong sense of community they are able to take risks and obtain leadership roles that support their growth as individuals both socially and academically. She strives to support the emotional and academic development of her students by encouraging them to explore the beauty of multiple cultures through reading, music, dance, and art.

Sarah Hartman

Second Grade Teacher

Sarah is our Second Grade teacher at Connect! She has a BS in Biology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and her Master's degree in Education from Mills College in Oakland, CA.

She loves her family, her cat, Appa, reading sci-fi and graphic novels, watching cartoons, cooking and eating good food, drinking tea, being outside, teaching, and learning!
